“Pat Metheny Group” (1978) is the first of the classic album in the great Missouri-born guitarist career; the same Metheny still strongly considers himself a debtor of the Weather Report and Keith Jarrett’s style for this album.
In my opinion it still is one of his best things or at least one of his most important recordings.

Can you imagine the music purists while listening at the new 1978 Weather Report’s album, the 3rd one after the turning point of “Black market“, titled “Mr. Gone“?
